Hi! My name is Brian Burkett and I am a disciple of Jesus, husband to my awesome wife Jenny, and former pastor with a passion for missional, incarnational, post-modern ministry who just happens to be "making tents" as an insurance agent for the time being with Family Heritage Life. I guest speak for various churches, ministries, & businesses as God provides the opportunities. I'm also one of the hairiest bald men you ever will meet. Jenny is originally from Evansville, Indiana where we currently live, and I am originally from just south of Montgomery, Alabama. I graduated in December, 2001 with a B.A. in Bible from Faulkner University in Montgomery. Jenny has her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Child Development (May, 2003 - Purdue University). In full-time ministry, I most recently served as the Lead Pastor for New Life Christian Church in Paragon, Indiana. Before that, I served as the Associate Minister for the Clearlake church of Christ in Springfield, Illinois and have served churches in various ministries, from youth internships to guest speaking engagements and volunteer ministries in places like Alabama, South Carolina, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee & Texas. I have also served on the Board of Directors for Illinois Christian Camp, and volunteered extensively with parachurch ministries such as the Indiana Dream Team. God has been very good to me and blessed me with many great experiences. I have to give credit to my mother, Christine Burkett for taking care of this site. I simply don’t have time for it, and she has graciously volunteered her services.
